journal “Gender Studies”

Gender Studies Journal (published twice a year since 1998 by KCGS under J.D. and K.T. McArthur’s Foundation sponsorship) is the only academic journal on Gender Studies in the countries of the former USSR today. It publishes materials of national and international research on gender topics covering all spectrums of social sciences and the humanities.

Main sections of the journal are: Feminist Methodology, Politology of Gender, Sociology of Gender, Gender Issues in Anthropology, Gender Issues in History, Gender Issues in Philosophy, Language and Gender, Gender and National Identity, Feminism and Postcolonialism, Women’s History, Feminist Literary Critique, Gay/Lesbian Theory, Women’s Practices of Representation, Women’s Literature, Men’s Studies, Gender Education, etc. Moreover, there is Reviews section in the journal where national and international publications are reviewed being the main and most important for Gender/Women’s/Feminist Studies development in the former USSR.

Starting with issue 6 there is an electronic version of the journal together with its printed version.
